learning lots and sharing our learning

Bonjour les infants,
Thank you to Sue Cooke (Rupert's Mum) for bringing in croissants for us to try. What a treat! Lucky Room 10!

In a couple of weeks we will be having Cultural Day where each class will be sharing their learning about their country with the other classes. We would love your ideas about what we will share.
So far me, Miss B and Mrs Rogers think we'll share some of the language, food, a song (accompanied by us on the ukulele) a dance, some french art and some facts about France. Talk to Mum and Dad about how we could share the facts? We could do posters, a computer power point? We would love your suggestions. It will be so cool to teach others and we will get to be the learners in other classes too.
I think Cultural Day is 2 weeks from wednesday but I'll double check and put it on the blog tomorrow.

In Maths we are going to be working hard on times tables and division. We would love you to practise at home. Start on your 2's, 5's and 10's.

Remember the poetry final is at 11am on Thursday in the staffroom.

Keep up your great work at home and school. Most of you will be practising spelling words again now. Remember to bring your words in for testing with Mrs Mac each Friday.

As poetry finishes, speeches begin! Our first try at speeches. These will last for one minute and we're going to keep the topic simple - my hero or my pet. More info will come home soon but you can start talking.

Love Mrs Mac and Mrs Rogers too
