Bonjour,
Thank you for all the interest you have shown in doing your french homework.
We got some great facts back to share at school.
We have entered the children in a radio competition where France is our adopted country. So I will keep you updated with any exciting happenings with that. We send in photos of what we have been learning to the radion station and we can win prizes and have visits.
So listen out on classic hits as well. Have a family talk about what we could do for our cultural day to share our France knowledge with the rest of the school. We welcome your suggestions!
We are working on poetry writing in class. It's a pleasure to read the delightful ideas of Room 10!
Soon we will send home the poetry booklets that the children can use to select their poem from. They don't have to use it though. They can choose any poem that would be great to read aloud to the class.
Poetry is a great way to get children to master phrasing in their reading. They learn to read according to the punctuation and the way the lines and stanza's are set out so please comment on this at home.
In the next week while we are getting ready to move again, there may be the odd day where the children don't bring a book home. Please use the poetry booklets to read from instead.
Merci beaucoup!
Au revoir
